Micronutrient Testing: an Advanced Diagnostic Tool

Micronutrient testing is an advanced diagnostic tool that assesses an individual's nutritional status at the cellular level. This comprehensive analysis allows us to evaluates the levels and functionality of essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and other vital nutrients within your body's cells.

Unlike conventional blood tests that measure serum levels, micronutrient testing provides a more accurate picture of long-term nutritional status by examining how nutrients function inside white blood cells. This approach offers several key advantages:

Long-term nutritional assessment: Results reflect nutrient levels over several months rather than just recent dietary intake.

  • Functional analysis: The test evaluates how effectively cells utilize nutrients, not just their presence in the bloodstream.
  • Personalized insights: It identifies individual deficiencies and imbalances, allowing for tailored nutritional interventions.
  • Comprehensive panel: Typically includes 31-35 different nutrients, offering a holistic view of nutritional health.

Micronutrient testing employs various methodologies, including:

  • Lymphocyte proliferation assays: Measuring cell growth in nutrient-depleted cultures
  • Intracellular micronutrient analysis: Directly assessing nutrient levels within white blood cells
  • Functional intracellular analysis: Evaluating how nutrients affect cellular metabolism and immune function

This type of testing is particularly valuable for individuals with chronic health conditions, digestive disorders, restricted diets, or those seeking to optimize their overall health and performance. By identifying specific nutritional deficiencies or imbalances, micronutrient testing enables healthcare providers to develop targeted supplementation strategies and dietary recommendations, potentially addressing the root causes of various health issues and supporting optimal cellular function.

Measure Your Nutritional Definiencies

Standard test results do not measure if nutrients are properly functioning within the body. Nore uses SpectraCell's Micronutrient Test to measure the function of selected vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other essential micronutrients within your white blood cells. Analysis can reveal a person’s functional nutrient status over a longer time period than conventional serum testing.

To get started, contact Nore to schedule a blood draw. Results are typically ready in three weeks. You may then schedule a consultation to review your results, where your provider may recommend Vitamin IV Infusions, Vitamin Boosters and/or Vitamin Supplements.

Your results will include an overview page with all your deficiencies listed. Numeric and graphic reports easily identify your deficiencies and provide recommendations for repletion and supplementation. View a sample report.

Your test will measure the function of 35 nutritional components:

Vitamin A · Vitamin B1 · Vitamin B2 · Vitamin B3 · Vitamin B6 · Vitamin B12 · Biotin · Folate · Pantothenate · Vitamin C · Vitamin D · Vitamin K · Calcium · Magnesium · Manganese · Zinc · Copper · Asparagine · Glutamine · Serine · Oleic Acid · Alpha Lipoic Acid · Coenzyme Q10 · Cysteine · Glutathione · Selenium · Vitamin E · Chromium · Fructose Sensitivity · Choline · Inositol · Carnitine · SPECTROX™ for Total Antioxidant Function · IMMUNIDEX™ Immune Response Score
